Design-Nation presents 35 UK makers for London Design Festival 2026

This September, Design-Nation presents Crafted Futures, a curated selling exhibition of 35 UK designer-makers, staged at OXO Gallery on London's South Bank for London Design Festival 2026.

The exhibition spans ceramics, jewellery, textiles, glass, wood, lighting, paper, fibre and metal, with work loosely grouped around four themes: Nature & Sustainability, Heritage Reimagined, Geometric vs Organic, and Vibrancy & Calm. Every piece is available to buy directly from the maker.

Meeting the makers

Alongside the exhibition, Design-Nation is running a programme of Meet the Maker Talks, giving visitors the chance to hear directly from exhibitors about their process, materials and inspiration.

"Crafted Futures reflects everything Design-Nation stands for: supporting exceptional makers, creating meaningful opportunities, and connecting contemporary craft with new audiences," says Clare Edwards, Director of Design-Nation. "It's a chance for London Design Festival visitors to meet the makers and buy directly from them."

"Design-Nation has played a significant role in the development of my practice — investing in me through a recent mentorship with the Radcliffe Trust," says Laura Lee, one of the 35 exhibiting makers. "That support has led to this: exhibiting alongside my peers in Crafted Futures, a huge milestone in my creative journey."
