Surface View collaborates with the V&A
The Victoria and Albert Museum, the V&A for short, is considered the world’s leading museum of art and design. A British institution, the V&A is monumental in size and scope, with a permanent collection of more than 2.3 million objects, spanning a period of five thousand years. Visitors to the V&A will find many of the UK’s national collections, alongside collected works in the fields of architecture, furniture, fashion, textiles, photography, sculpture, and more. Since its inception, Surface View has collaborated with a variety of museums and galleries—for example, the V&A, the Museum of London, the National Galleries of Scotland, and the New York Botanical Garden—curating and remastering a selection of their archives as premium window and wall coverings.
The coronavirus pandemic has had a marked effect on the numbers of daily visitors to museums and galleries. Surface View has therefore decided to focus attention on its sizeable collaboration with the V&A.
