At Seen we specialise in PR for the contemporary design industry - furniture, lighting and home accessories including ceramics, glassware and textiles. We work with both emerging designers and established brands, retailers and design and arts-related events and exhibitions.
It's something we're not very good at doing; applying our PR know-how to our own business. But when Katie from confessions of a design geek approached us asking if we might like to be included in her Biz Tips series, we were, in a word, rather flattered. I was really impressed by the variety of products and the superb design talent on show at HOME 2013. I came away with a lot of great ideas and not to mention a little consumer envy! Here are five of my favourite finds.

#1 My Big Yellow Teapot by Jamie at Home
What’s not to love about this generous sized sunny teapot? This no-frills design is somewhat familiar and nostalgic. The best thing about it? It has to be its unapologetic bright yellow hue; just what you need on the breakfast table, particularly on a grey January morning.
The wonderful, stylish Mini Moderns recently launched their first ever pop-up Shoppe bringing pattern and colour deliciousness to the space downstairs at Supernice, 106 Columbia Road. The shop features their entire collection, plus a few exclusive limited edition Shoppe only products. So if you still have a few Christmas gift to get, may we suggest that you hot-foot it down there and nail your Christmas shopping in one stylish swoop.

Our new name reflects the significant expansion in our business activities since we first began operating under the PR-Girl name in 2004. Our work today is more diverse in nature and includes PR campaigns well beyond where we began. However, our rebrand won't be news to everyone as we've been banding about our new name since Tent London back in September, but it seems that today is the day all the components have finally come together. Our offical 'launch' day if you like.
